Why do I need to protect my windshield?
On the surface, glass appears perfectly smooth, clear and
transparent. But, at a microscopic level, the surface of glass
is jagged, with peaks and valleys, similar to sandpaper. This
irregular surface can damage and affect your windshield in

causing pitting, chipping and cracking. In addition, water
collects in the valleys, depositing dirt, minerals and other
material that can stain and scratch your windshield.
Reduced vision – Peaks create prisms where light is
reflected and refracted, causing vision distortion and glare.
The valleys also cause water to collect and cling to the
glass, reducing wet-weather visibility.
How does it work?
® Windshield Protection is manufactured
by DFI Inc., an innovator in protective coatings for glass.
Their patented nanotechnology, Diamon-Fusion
and protects the surface of your windshield by molecularly
fusing with glass to form a hydrophobic (water repellant)
barrier, applied in a two step process:
A chemical fills in the microscopic peaks and valleys
The bonding substrate is then capped and sealed,
enhancing surface smoothness
As a result, there are far less peaks and valleys to catch road
debris, distort vision, and create glare. The glass becomes
much smoother, resulting in a clearer and stronger windshield.
Technology that works
® has been independently tested and certified
by an independent lab:
® treatment actually changes the
molecular composition of the treated surface. When applied
to a windshield, the treatment increases the windshield’s
water repellency for the life of the glass.
In other words, the weight of debris particle required to crack
a piece of glass that has been treated with Diamon-Fusion
would need to be ten times heavier than the weight required
to crack an untreated piece of glass.”
